TO VARY THE COMPACTION FACTORS
APPLICATIONS > GEOPAK ROAD > CROSS SECTIONS > EARTHWORKS
- When the "GEOPAK EARTHWORK VOLUMES" dialog box appears, press and hold down on FILE and release on
LOAD.
- Select the .LOG file that was made when you calculated your earthwork. Click on
OK. Depending on the length of your project... this may take awhile.
- When the new "GEOPAK EARTHWORK VOLUMES" dialog box appears, press "Multi Factor Table." This
obviously brings up the "Multi Factor Table" dialog box.
- The instructions in the manual are very good, so rather than paraphrasing the Manual - See VOL II, Part X,
"Earthwork Manipulations," Pages 29-7 to 29-10.
- When finished, kill the "Multi Factor Table" dialog box.
- To apply these factors, press "CALCULATE VOLUMES" on the GEOPAK EARTHWORK VOLUMES dialog box.
- Enter the station ranges and the name of the output .LOG file. I suggest using a new output file name,
so that the previous .LOG file is not overwritten.
- Press CALCULATE.
- When the calculations are complete, review the earthwork log file by using an editor such as Notepad, UltraEdit or Geopak's "built-in" editor..
