TO GENERATE THE SLOPE STAKE LIMITS:

This routine will draw the graphical elements representing the top of cut and toe of fill on the Plan view, similar to what IGRDS did except GEOPAK will also draw another line representing the transition from cut to fill.

FIRST OF ALL YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Next....

Open the .DGN file that contains your cross sections, and....

Invoke the Cross Sections Reports dialog using the MicroStation pulldowns or the icon, each shown below:

Using the pulldowns:

APPLICATIONS > GEOPAK ROAD > CROSS SECTIONS > LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION

...Or use the "Tools" icon (shown below)

The Limit of Construction dialog appears as shown below:

Key in all appropriate data.   The Plan Dgn field is the name of the .DGN file that you want the construction limits elements to be drawn into.   Set the Tolerance to 0.03

The Parameters button, when pushed, brings up the Plot Parameters for Construction Limits dialog.   These construction limit lines should match the weights and line styles shown on the "Conventional Symbols and Abbreviations" sheet shown in your plans.   The WFLHD CADD standards call for these lines to be drawn on Level name P_RDW_Slope_Stake_Limits.

Another option is the "Place Construction Limit".   When this is toggled on, text may also be drawn in the Plan Dgn file.   Four types of text may be drawn,:

The text parameters may be set by clicking on the Parameters button.   When finished with the Plot Parameters for Labels press OK.

When finished keying in your Plot Parameters for Construction Limits, press OK.   After double checking all the fields in the "Limit of Construction" dialog press APPLY.

If everything was successful, you can open the Plan Dgn file that you selected and now see your construction limits, (and any text that may have been desired).
