Update for August 15, 2008

For the week of August 11th the Contractor focused on filling large and small sandbags with sand in preparation for some “in-water” work that will be taking place within the next few weeks.  Road work has been at a minimum and traffic has been enjoying the brief respite from the flaggers and pilot car.

The Contractor plans on working nights (4:00pm – 2:00am) for the next two weeks (the week of August 18th and August 25th, Monday night through Thursday night).

The road may have changed since your last visit, so please be cautious and patient when traveling through the construction area and abide by the signs placed for your safety, and everyone else’s safety also.  When the Contractor is working at night please watch for the flaggers and the pilot car that are there for the safety of all.

Here is the summer schedule at a glance:

Time Delay
9 p.m. to 6 a.m. 2-hour delays
6 a.m. to 4 p.m. open road
4 p.m. to 9 p.m. 30-minute delays
