National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
WFLHD is the lead agency for NEPA compliance. Early in the project development process, WFLHD engaged federal and state resource agencies in developing solutions to address the purpose and need and identifying sustainable designs meeting regulatory requirements. WFLHD has worked closely with the following agencies under NEPA: Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ), Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), Oregon Department of State Lands (ODSL), United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as well as ODOT and the USFS. WFLHD continues to coordinate with our partners and resource agencies as construction progresses.
