Paradise Creek Campground to Oldman Pass

Location
This project is located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, approximately 72 kilometers (45 miles) northeast of Vancouver, Washington in south-central Skamania County, 32 kilometers (20 miles) north of the town of Carson.

Description
The project involves safety and driveability improvements to 7.9 kilometers (4.9 miles) of Forest Highway 30, Wind River Road, from the Paradise Creek Campground to the summit of Oldman Pass. Some of the improvements currently being considered include widening and straightening of the roadway, replacement of the drainage system, slope stabilization, upgrading and construction of roadside turnouts, installation of guardrail and new signs, repaving the roadway and installing new striping and pavement markings.
