File Naming Convention
File Naming Convention
The CADD Filenaming Convention consists of a project specific prefix followed by a short file type designator. See Supplement 9.6.5-1 for more information.
Note: In most cases use the Prefix in the left column. The old PRMS code, previously used as the prefix, is shown for information only. It is not necessary on a current project to change the naming conventions if it was started using the old convention. All projects should use a consistent convention (either all NEW or all OLD) to lessen confusion.
